From November 2011 all Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) candidates will have their photograph taken on the day of their exam as an additional security measure. The practice will apply to CAE candidates only in the first instance, but will be rolled out across the full suite of exams at a later date.
Candidates intending to use their Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) to apply for an Australian student visa, must make this known at the time of registration. Please see CAE & Australian student visa applications for more detail.
The first despatch of certificates since Cambridge ESOL introduced their Extended Certification initiative is complete, and the feedback received has been very positive.
Grades A, B and C remain as passing grades. Candidates who receive an A grade in their exam, showing ability at the CEFR level above, have this recognised on their certificate. Candidates who do not pass the exam but who perform at the CEFR level below (equivalent of a grade D) receive a certificate recognising their ability at that CEFR level. Please visit the Cambridge ESOL website for more information on Extended Certification, which applies to all the exams offered by Cambridge Examinations (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher).
We have recently been able to revise our entry closing dates for the remaining 2011 exam sessions (August, October, December), providing additional time to finalise your candidate enrolments. Please visit our Dates and Fees page for full details. Changes to our 2012 entry closing dates may be announced in the coming months.
Dates and fees for the 2012 paper-based Cambridge English exams in Australia can now be found on the Exam Dates & Fees page of our website.
The Cambridge Examinations website is getting a makeover! Keep your eyes peeled for the new look website in early January 2011.
Please note that there are now fees associated with replacing a certificate if it is lost in transit, damaged in transit, or an amendment of the candidate name is required. Please see the Certificates section for more details. The rules about re-issuing certificates remain stringent, so please continue to take care with the despatch of your students’ certificates, and when registering candidate names at enrolment time.
